Musical Guests - The Bethlehem Baptist Church of Clarkesville Choir at 4 PM,
Appalachian Strings at 5 PM and Barefoot Creek at 7 PM.
The fun is free, but there is a $3 parking fee.

Christmas On The Square Celebration
Downtown Blairsville
December 6 - 1 pm - 7:00

2008 Blairsville Christmas on the Square starts off with The Union County Historical Society
hosting an Open House at the Historic Courthouse and Mountain Life Museum
starting at 1:00 pm. Refreshments will be served and visitors can see the
old-fashioned decorations inside these historic buildings.

Santa will be at the Courthouse from 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm
Family activities include FREE pictures with Santa, children's crafts,
tatoos and a letter to Santa. The Christmas Parade begins at 4:00 pm
with floats, horses, antique cars, and Santa’s sleigh.
They'll be plenty of photo opportunities as the Parade travels along the streets of Blairsville.

Around 5:15 pm the community gathers on the Historic Courthouse lawn
for the lighting of the Christmas tree. The Union County High Marching Band
will be playing and everyone can join in and sing Christmas Carols.
Around 5:30 pm the switch will be flipped for the Tree Lighting Ceremony
and the lights brighten up the town!
It’s a gorgeous time to be in Downtown Blairsville.

For the "Give A Gift Toy Drive" sponsored by the Union County Sheriff’s Department,
